My name is Samirah Wylder, BSN, RN. I am a native of Charleston, SC
and moved to Florida upon graduation. I knew for a long time that I wanted to be a nurse, but sometimes I’m still in shock that it’s my reality. Although it’s only been a year, I say all the time that there is nothing that I would rather do. My passion is geriatrics, but as I’ve experienced multiple facilities, I’ve grown to love the idea of bouncing around different age groups with different needs. The best part of the job is being able to see the progress patients make from admission to discharge. Though it gets challenging, there is no better rewarding job than nursing.
